Pan Fried Tuna with Salad

I didn’t think that my plate would look so lovely when I was purchasing the Tuna..
Some quick Fennel-Lettuce Salad with it ,accompanied with some BBQ Flavoured Chips was a healthy + yummy meal. Here’s the recipe for it.

Recipe

Ingredients Used?

Tuna

For Salad
1 Fennel Bulb sliced lenghtwise
Some Lettuce Leaves roughly torn with fingers
Orange Bell Peppers cut in cubes
1/4th of a big onion sliced lengthwise
1 garlic pod roughly sliced

Salad Dressing
Mustard paste and honey either each in equal parts or as per your taste

For Serving
Ranch Dip
Fennel leaves
BBQ sauce
Chips 🙂

How I Prepared It?

Marinate the Tuna with salt, freshly squeezed lemon and with freshly crushed peppercorns. Set aside for 15 mins.

In a nonstick pan just smear some olive oil .Heat it . Add the tuna and cook it till all the sides of tuna are browned…very carefully so that the tuna does not overcook. This was tricky for me..I think I had overcooked my tuna. But as a first timer it was good 🙂

After the tuna is done, set it aside on a serving plate.Add some BBQ sauce over it. I added a dollop of #Lays Ranch dip to have it with tuna.

In the same pan add the onions, fennel bulb, capsicum and garlic . Season with salt n pepper and toss them for a while and remove in a mixing bowl. Add the lettuce leaves and the Salad dressing . Mix it all and serve with the tuna.

With some chips and garnished with the fennel leaves, it was a lovely light dinner.
