Simple Wholemeal Flour Cup-Cakes…
Since some days I have been baking and working out some recipes with cakes …This is the first cup cake that I have made.
My basics of baking a simple cake go back to…some… years back. My mother, my younger sister and me we had many failed attempts while preparing a simple cake. But…, after lot of trials and errors we got it perfect.
I wanted to make a cup cake using Wholemeal flour .So with my basics of cake making in mind and after working out with some calculations because I’am using wholemeal four and not refined flour..I prepared this cup cake..:)
Decorating the CupCake –
You can decorate your cupcake the way you want.
For my cupcake I have used some Nutella spread of Hazelnut and cocoa flavour. Then used a readymade sugar icing tube to make some twirl at the edges. And arranged some mini marshmallows over it.
Overall My First Cup Cake made in a simple way came out perfect with these measurements.
My First Perfect Cupcake
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup self raising whole meal flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar I have used a little less than 3/4 cup , just preferred little less sweet
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 75 gm baking butter at room temperature
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Whisk together wholemeal flour, baking powder and salt . Set it aside.
- Preheat oven to 180 degree.
- Cream together butter and sugar-either with hand or with a hand mixer.I have used a hand mixer. I found that melting the butter before, makes it easier. But just ensure that butter doesn't get too hot.
- Add egg and vanilla essence. Mix it in.
- Mix in the flour.
- Add milk and mix them all.
- Spoon this mixture in cupcake liners till its 1/2 or 2/3rd full.
- Bake in oven for around 15 mins.Check if it is done- insert a wooden toothpick and it should come out clean.
- Decorate with icing of your choice and Enjoy
