Simple Mange Tout with Rice

So delicious..It was very simple to prepare..

I have been staying in UK since a month…When I go for grocery shopping, I feel happy to see so many vegetables. Some(which can be cut) are already cut and packed. While cooking I just have to put it in the pan and that’s it!!!(Of course I consume it within the use by date mentioned on the packet).
This saves me a lot of time. Although, I have not yet started going for job here 🙂

But well;) its good to give your fingers some relaxation.(Hmm I know this sounds pretentious).

Okay..So, I picked up a packet written as Mange Tout. It looked fresh green and I felt like checking out what it is? Mange tout is a variety of pea which is ‘eaten all’. ‘Mange Tout’ comes from the French word meaning “eat all”. Simply wash and top and tail if the ends are tough.

While thinking how to prepare it, I remembered, when I was a kid, my mother used to prepare this. She would purchase fresh green peas(whose pods were not completely ripened) coming just before or in winter season in Mumbai.
So, I got excited to prepare it and have it the same way…But with Rice:)
