Besan laddoos

Besan Laddoos – a sweet treat goes for all Indian festivals and celebrations. Especially loved by little ones.

I had prepared some besan laddoos for pooja on Ganesh Chaturthi day. And, that was the first time my now 3 year old started liking laddoos and wants one for breakfast , lunch and also dinner… which means she is not eating her food  🙁 ..

She started demanding since 2-3 days ..”Mamma ladoo, mamma laddoo” How could I not make it.
But, it was the Harvey outside and no proper ingredients at home. There was no water flooding in our community but we were water locked. Well, that bad time ended ..

Finally when I purchased all the ingredients and prepared the laddoo for my kid, It was the loveliest moment to see my daughter hold the laddoo, take its first bite and asking for more and more 🙂

🙂 Sharing the recipe of my daughters joy…

Recipe

Ingredients Used?

2 cups Besan (chick pea flour)
1/2 cup fine semolina
3/4th cup cashew nut and almond powder
1-3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp sweet-dish masala OR Cardamom powder
1 and 1/2 cup ghee

How I Prepared It?

Heat a pan add Besan, semolina and ghee. Roast it till you get a lovely aroma of Besan. Roast it a bit more after you get the aroma and till the ghee separates but be careful not to burn it.Add cashew nut and almond powder , stir. Turn off the heat, but keep stirring it.
When it is just slightly warm add sugar and sweet dish masala. Keep stirring till all of it has mixed well. And make balls with your hands while its still warm.
