Yes it can be made at home and doesn’t take much of your time. And the good news is you can adjust the saltiness or sweetness as you like. I would add some spicyness too.. Or better even don’t add anything..
I preferred to start preparing my peanut butter from the scratch. Taking raw peanuts, then roasting them, peeling them and finally grinding them. You see it guys just 3 steps – roasting, peeling and grinding. You do get roasted and peeled peanuts in the market and yes you can save some time cutting those steps but, I preferred doing it at home 🙂 since I could 🙂
Also, I found roasting them in a microwave helps to roast evenly and brings out that nutty flavour of peanuts.
In this recipe I have kept it plain but you can add some spices too which I would surely try next time I make it. And the 2 spices which I feel would suit it best are cumin seeds and dried red chillies. I’am sure this will be a bomb.
